As an experiend fitter, you will be responsible for the professional processing of stainless steel and other metals. You will have in-depth knowledge of materials – especially when it comes to stainless steel and its processing. You are familiar with various welding processes such as MIG, MAG, TIG or manual arc welding and use them safely depending on the requirements.

You not only read technical drawings and isometric drawings, but also understand them as the basis for your precise work on components and constructions. Metalworking machines such as cutting, grinding or bending machines are just as much a part of your toolkit as your ability to maintain and service them independently.

In your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for assembling welded constructions and pipelines, solving technical challenges directly on the workpiece and working closely with your team. Communication is not an obligation for you, but a matter of course – because the best solutions are found together.

Your strengths

  • Apprenticeship qualification in a metalworking company or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years as a fitter, ideally in the field of plant and pipeline construction, steel construction or mechanical engineering
  • Materials science: In-depth knowledge of metals, especially stainless steel and their processing properties
  • Welding techniques: Knowledge of various welding processes such as MIG, MAG, TIG and manual arc welding
  • Design and drawing reading skills: Ability to interpret and implement technical production drawings and isometrics
  • Tool and machine use: Operation of metalworking machines (e.g. cutting, grinding, bending) and their maintenance
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
